Upon the appointment of the business school's new dean, the accomplished data scientist Costis Maglaras, a new role in the office of the dean was created: Vice Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
The brief called for a mark that would live primarily on collegiate apparel and email signatures. It had to be a powerful mark: social change cannot be represented satisfactorily using corporate visual tricks.
Several concepts were generated quickly, but the one that stuck with me is the above, which demonstrated the school’s brand typeface’s myriad personalities. I thought the visual interest created by mixing roman and small caps was appropriate given the subject matter.
