I’m Kyle (J. Schumacher-)Picone, a designer living and working in New York City.

I have experience designing for print, digital, merchandise, editorial, and identity, with some experience in packaging and product design.

I've been fortunate to work in-house at Columbia University since 2014. Prior to that, I was a brand designer at Dory, where I worked on a luxury parenting brand.

In my spare time, I like to:

  • play video games (Playstation and Switch)
  • go out with friends (Hell’s Kitchen, East Village, Brooklyn)
  • read (a mix, though always trying to explore into nonfiction)
  • attempt to learn Spanish and Japanese (continually, over the years, with no success, but I refuse to quit. That's good, right‽)
  • and cook (poorly. But I recently learned how to make fried eggs by covering the pan. That was exciting.)

I volunteer for my alma mater's Alumni Interview Program, where I meet prospective students who continually remind me that our future is going to be just fine. I volunteer at a cat shelter, where 24 fur babies bring me joy, scream at me, and regularly ruin my nice jeans.
